Hormoz Rashidi met me at the LA bungalow I was staying in while I was recording the next season of This Is Not Happening and he tried explaining to me all the histories of the middle east and our current involvement there. I don’t know what Hormoz’s background is, but he’s real knowledgable about the whole region and this conversation really opened my eyes up to a way of thinking really plainly about the individuals involved in getting the US to go over there. It’s the way I like thinking about almost every subject and I’m glad I finally got to do it about the middle east.

I used to seat customers at the Comedy Store. For years. Before that I answered the phones. And in between I worked there selling tickets, building the website, waiting tables, mopping up vomit, assisting the talent coordinator, driving around the owner, and anything else they’d have me do in return for 3 minutes of stage time on Mondays. 3 minutes. Now I’m back. I recorded my last special there called Paid Regular and on Thursday, I’m presenting my new hour of material that I’ve built since that special. And since I’m a Jew my hour is gonna be about 75 minutes. It’s really solid. And it’s only $10. So why not come? Bring a couple good friends. Bring a nug to the doorguy to get tomorrow’s best comedians high today. And have some great laughs.
